QTS Recruitment is a specialist supplier of ASME IX and API 1104 qualified 6G and 6GR pipe welders from Egypt for Oil & Gas, petrochemical, and construction projects across the Gulf and Libya. Stage 1 — Document Review: We verify existing welder qualification records (WQR), WPS compliance, and continuity of employment.
Stage 2 — Practical Trade Test: Every welder completes a 6G position weld on a pipe specimen. The weld undergoes bend testing (root and face), visual inspection to AWS D1.1 / ASME IX criteria, and radiographic examination for premium campaigns.
Stage 3 — GAMCA Medical: All welders pass a GAMCA-approved medical fitness examination including chest X-ray, vision test, and blood/lung function checks relevant to welding hazards.

A recognised scaffolding competency or training certificate, working-at-heights training, and a practical trade test. Experienced scaffolders can progress to supervisor or inspector grades with documented hours and extra inspection training.

Weld quality starts with fit-up quality, which is why clients request pipefitters and welders as one crew. We supply them together after screening certificates and work history.
1. Fit-Up & Alignment — Pipefitters read isometric drawings, prepare the pipe, control alignment and fit-up, and install flanges and equipment connections. The accuracy of this stage largely determines rework rates later.
2. Welding — Welders execute 6G / 6GR joints to the approved WPS, commonly TIG root with SMAW fill and cap, across carbon steel, stainless, and alloy piping.
3. Inspection & NDT — Welding inspectors (CSWIP / PCN) and NDT technicians carry out visual examination and non-destructive testing to confirm code compliance.
4. Testing & Handover — The crew supports hydrostatic testing, while riggers and scaffolders provide safe lifting and access at height throughout every stage.
